Our diagnostic protocols are designed to ensure the highest standard of clinical care delivered via asynchronous and synchronous communication networks. Arcus physician agents follow strictly vetted clinical pathways established in accordance with major medical board guidelines (e.g., AMA, AAFP).
The primary modality for triage is text-based communication, supplemented by secure image uploading and prior medical history review.
When a patient initiates a consultation, our algorithmic routing prioritizes requests based on the reported acuity. High-acuity keywords (e.g., "chest pain," "shortness of breath," "severe bleeding") trigger an immediate emergency override, advising the patient to contact 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department.
Arcus physicians possess the authority to electronically route prescriptions directly to the patient's pharmacy of choice. We utilize an encrypted e-prescribing network (Surescripts) to ensure DEA compliance.
Note: Under no circumstances do Arcus physicians prescribe DEA-controlled substances (Schedule II-V), lifestyle modifiers (e.g., weight loss injections) without extensive lab work, or highly specialized oncological/immunological agents remote observation.
